At AeroPrompt, we consider the privacy of our users to be a fundamental priority. This
Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect and how we use, disclose, and safeguard your
information when you use our browser extension and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information (via Google Sign-In)
When you sign in using Google, we collect the following information through the Chrome Identity API:
Email Address: Used to identify your account and manage your subscription
Display Name: Used for personalization within the extension
Profile Picture URL: Used to display your avatar in the extension
We only request access to basic profile information (openid, email, profile scopes). We do NOT have access to your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or any other Google services.
Usage Data by Tier
Guest Users (Not Signed In)
Zero Persistence Policy: For users who are not logged in, we do not store your chat history or input prompts on our servers. Your data is transiently processed via encrypted API calls to generate a response and is immediately discarded by AeroPrompt.
Free & Pro Users (Signed In)
Contextual Continuity: We securely store a limited history (last 5-10 interactions) to enable context-aware prompt optimization
Subscription Status: We store your subscription tier and payment status
Usage Statistics: Anonymous usage metrics to improve our service
Control & Deletion: You retain full control over this data. You may clear your conversation history at any time directly through the extension's settings menu.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
Authenticate: Verify your identity and manage your account
Provide Services: Optimize prompts and deliver personalized features
Process Payments: Manage Pro subscriptions via Razorpay
Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries and requests
Improve Services: Analyze anonymous usage patterns to enhance features
We do NOT use your data to:
Train AI models
Sell to third parties
Target advertisements
3. Third-Party Services
OpenRouter API
Your prompts are routed through OpenRouter for AI processing
We prioritize providers with Zero Data Retention (ZDR) policies
We implement strict security measures to protect your information:
TLS/SSL Encryption: All communications are protected via industry-standard HTTPS
Secure Storage: User data is stored securely with encryption at rest
Metadata Anonymization: Usage analytics are anonymized and never linked to personal accounts
No Data Sale: We never sell, trade, or rent your personal information
5. Your Rights & Controls
You have the right to:
Access: View the data we have collected about you
Delete: Clear your conversation history at any time through the extension settings
Account Deletion: Request complete deletion of your account by contacting us
Opt-Out: Use the extension as a Guest without signing in
6. Data Retention
Account Data: Retained while your account is active
Conversation History: Retained until you clear it or delete your account
Anonymous Analytics: Retained indefinitely in aggregated, non-identifiable form
Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
AeroPrompt is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
8. Chrome Extension Permissions
This extension uses the following permissions:
